A to Z Challenge 2026.
A to Z Challenge 2026.

My theme is book reviews and miscellaneous. I have read some authors whose surnames/ first names start from letters A to Z. Sometimes, I may post on poems whose topic starts with the required alphabet, if I lack my preparation in reading an author whose name is required in my alphabetical list.

Examples of the books and authors:

On The Calculation Of Volume Book 1, by Solvej Balle
On The Calculation Of Volume Book 1, by Solvej Balle
Solvej Balle, On The Calculation Of Volume
Solvej Balle, On The Calculation Of Volume

C is for Cartarescu, ie Mircea Cartarescu.

Hi Ronel. I read your short story and wrote a review, posted at https://booksreviewsandmore.com/read-ronel-janse-van-vuurens-short-story-unseen-youll-love-it/

Thank you for sharing your talent.

    Always a fun topic.
    I’m also doing a book-related theme.

Always interested in what other people come up with for the difficult letters 🙂

I’m using a substitute form for my missing letters. Sometimes I use the first name of the author.

I’ve tried reaching your website but I see the standard error message saying the site can’t be reached because it is taking too long to load.

Always good to discover new books worth reading, Cai, although my TBR pile is dangerously high…

Always fun. I know I once searched my book “pile” for an author of every letter.
Looking forward to the challenge this year.

Hi J. Thanks for visiting. I’ve seen that some alphabets have more authors than others. For instance, letter D has Didion, Desai, Daud, Datlow, Ditlevsen, Das, Dostoyevsky. And these are those I have read.

Of course, not to forget, Dorner too.

  6. Kai Viola Avatar

This is such a good way to do the AtoZ, and I’m looking forward to reading your posts!
