  • **********

Thank You A to Z Challenge2026, I enjoyed this annual April series.

I love a working bloghop. During my first one month long bloghop for #AtoZChallenge 2025, I exhausted myself and neglected to participate in the reflection and road tour. However, I feel I’m the one doing the hopping. I visited many bloggers but they didn’t have the time to return visits so I stopped.

I saw the list of registered participants in A to Z Challenge at the beginning of April 2026. In April itself, more signed up because they didn’t know registration started in March.

Even without reciprocal visits, a month long blog challenge is also good. It provides the valid reason to post for a month on a consistent Challenge and do internal linking.

Feedback

I have a suggestion which may or might not facilitate reciprocal bloghop visits. Participants may benefit more if they were paired to visit their partner’s blog posts. They would be accountable to visit their assigned partner’s posts. If any participant wants to visit extra posts which belong to other bloggers, they are welcome to share their time with them.

J Lennie Dorner, one of the organizers and co-host of A to Z Challenge 2026, has been responsibly supportive and has visited my blog 3 times. Dear J, Thank you.

I don’t read that genre of fiction or I would buy them, read them. and review them.

My special friend blogger, Mimi, has visited consistently.

Other bloggers have tried to keep up. I send my thanks to all participants in this year’s A to Z Challenge. You all have made it happen. God bless.

Your blog was one of those I tried to read, but where my stupid eyes and the many links made me get terribly lost. I never understood where, how or what. And the one time, I tried commenting, my comment just disappeared, when I clicked “Post Comment” instead of posting. I don’t know if it’s an error on your blog, but as you say that many did not comment/return comments, I suspect it to be the case.

Hi Charlotte, some of us have a filter to put all comments in the moderation queue, to allow manual selection of spam comments. Then those go into the spam box.

All comments have entered into the “wait for moderation” queue, before they are allowed to appear.

I’m sorry for the negative experience. I may try the reverse method, allowing all comments to be published, and then selecting the spam to be deposited into the spam box.

Yes, I understand the moderation part, I did so too some years, as I got so many spam comments it was easier that way ๐Ÿ˜‰
Also this time around it said something like: “Your comment is awaiting moderation, this is a preview.” First time – with the disappearing comment – I did not get this.
But this year I really feel the Gremlins have had it out for me commenting. It was not only on your blog. Comments regularly disappeared (still do actually), or my browser crashed, or even the current went the second I pressed Publish or Post Comment anywhere.

I changed to allow all comments to publish, then when I check, I click SPAM. This works too, not as nightmarish as I thought. Thanks a lot for your feedback.

It would be fun to be partnered with a few and then visit others, too. I am still trying to work my way through all of the blogs and comment on the ones where I haven’t previously commented. Congrats on the finish!!

I’ll try to increase the font size. I have a fixed template and the standard font is small.

Congratulations on completing the A-Z Challenge. I don’t believe I visited through the challenge but I’m still trying to catch up…as always.
