Fanny did gaslighting on the Narrator.

Who is Fanny?

She’s the protagonist in A Leopard-Skin Hat, a book written by Anne Serre.

Who is the Narrator?

He’s a character in the same book. He’s Fanny’s friend; a platonic friend.

What is the gaslighting about?

Fanny accused the Narrator of committing falsehoods, which he denied. Her goal may have been to make him uncomfortable, accuse him of misdeeds, humiliate him, manipulate him to feel guilty and make concessions to her, and any other intentions.

Fanny sometimes disrespects the Narrator. She told him that he was nothing. He did not achieve fame.

What gaslighting did my neighbor do?

My elderly neighbor did gaslighting on me. She accused me of casting the evil eye on her son. She went ahead to voice verbal abuse on me for about one year. The object of this is to tell another female neighbor who has lived here for ages, across the street, that her son is the romantic target of a new woman and that old female neighbor may have to release her (former) sights on her son. Old woman invented a new woman to try to shake off the earlier woman. Then old woman and her son started talking about me paying his ransom. Since the earlier woman has claimed her rights to him, she wants money to ransom him, to free him and make him available to another woman.

What kind of man is that who can not untangle himself from gaslighting?

Here are some possibilities:

(a) He lacks mental capabilities to speak up.

(b) He may be a scammer himself and desiring to share his own ransom money if any woman pays up.

(c) He may be of unsound mind.

Gaslighting lies:

(1) The old woman says I’m a seducer. I have never had romantic ideas on that neighbor’s son.

(2) I am probably 20 years older than that young man. No, I’m not a cougar.

(3) That man’s earlier admirer has her first come, first reserved rights to him. She’s welcome to him. I was not interested in that man.
