What did Margaret’s parents do for entertainment?

Her parents, Carl Atwood and Margaret Killam Atwood, used leftover money from their monthly budget, to buy a pair of movie tickets to see a show once a month. Sometimes, they used entertainment money to buy a box of Laura Secord chocolates. Every piece of chocolate in the box was made in particular flavors and the couple divided each piece into halves, to share the flavors.

This is my book; the back cover shows Margaret (back in her younger days) holding her second novel, “Surfacing”.
