Here are Margaret Atwood’s secret loves in Book Of Lives
She wrote that she was fascinated by these objects and coveted them, although she never had her choice to lay her hands on them. When Margaret “Peggy” Atwood was very young, she was fascinated by the translucent, blue, plastic shower curtain ring

We can buy translucent, blue, plastic shower curtain rings at the link.
When I was a young child, I used to love plastic rings that I could wear on my wrist as bangles. I used to collect different rings from different products to wear as my costume jewelry (jewellery).
Atwood loved tin boxes and so did I
The child Peggy used to love sore throat lozenges called Sucrets, which are wrapped in silver colored paper, housed in a tin box.

I understand the fascination for tin boxes too. I used to like them too. I’m half sure manufacturers are in on this open secret as they like to enclose their goods in tins too. There are biscuits in tin box, cookies in tic box, tea in tin can, coffee in tins, toffees in tins, chocolates in tins, cigars in tin, cigarettes in tin and etc.
The novelty of the tin box is that it can be re-cycled for use for virtually anything that can go inside the tin. I still like to keep small collections of things in boxes.
