I’m Not Lazy, I’m On Energy Saving Mode, is a book on healing, by Dancing Snail. Her real name is Haneul Shin and she’s from South Korea. She works as an illustrator.
The author so impressed a publisher that her writing on her social media account was snapped up after the publisher read just 3 posts. That is like a record. I felt I had to read the book to learn what is so convincing.
Dancing Snail writes universal truths that are typical of what people who have some “nagging feeling” that doesn’t go away. She wrote:
“But because I wasn’t a cheerful person, I always envied the cheerful innocence of my friends.”
(Dancing Snail, p. 13)
I want to interpolate and say, maybe her friends pretended to be cheerful.
There is plenty of good stuff. I’ll share more in other posts soon.
